Privacy Policy

In short

• We collect only as much information as is needed to run the service.
• We do not sell, rent out or share your information with anyone.
• We use Google Analytics only to see how many people visit. There are no advertising cookies and no Facebook Pixel.
• We do not use any student's name, marks or result in advertising without permission.

1. Who is responsible

Sharp Computers (Proprietor: Santosh Suryawanshi), Nashik, Maharashtra, India — responsible for the information on the website https://sharptestseries.in. If you have a question, write to info@sharptestseries.in.

2. What information we collect

At the time of Registration:

• Name, mobile number, email
• Standard (11th / 12th), subject group and which examination you are preparing for
• If you have come through a College or Institute, its name and your roll number
• A parent's mobile number or email — only if it has been given

Created automatically while you use the service:

• Which Test you took, which answers you gave, how long you took and how many marks you scored
• When a student Login took place, from which kind of device (for example "Android phone · Chrome") and from which IP address — for security, so that a paid account is not shared. The student and their College can see this list; if a new device is used, an email is sent to the student (and the parent email, if given). These records are deleted after 180 days.
• IP address — only to stop misuse. In the Chatbot it is stored in a form that cannot be identified (hashed), and the original address is not kept.

At the time of payment:

• The order id and payment id received from Razorpay, the amount and the date
• Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank password never reaches us — that information goes directly to Razorpay and is not even visible to us

We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, a birth certificate or any similar identity document.

3. What we use it for

• Creating your account and keeping your login working
• Conducting Tests and preparing the result report
• Sending the receipt and keeping the accounts of payments
• Answering your queries
• Showing the progress of a student who joined through a College to that student's teachers
• Finding faults in the service and making improvements

We do not use it for advertising. Your information is not used to show you advertisements of other companies.

4. Whom it is shared with

With the following three parties, to run the service — and only to that extent:

Apart from this, information will be given only where the law requires it. We do not sell information.

If the Registration was made through a College or Institute, the teachers of that institution can see their student's name, roll number and result — only so that they can follow the student's studies.

5. Cookies

• We set only two cookies: the session cookie that keeps you logged in (it ends when the browser is closed), and, after a student logs in, a device cookie that remembers this browser for login security (400 days). The device cookie is a random number only.
• Neither cookie contains your name or password.
• Google Analytics cookies — only to count how many people came and which pages they viewed. Your name, email or mobile number is not sent to it, and your full IP address is not stored.
• These cookies are only on the information website. On the students' Test pages (the part after login) they have deliberately not been placed.
• No advertising cookies and no cookies that track you outside the website are used. Facebook Pixel is not installed.
• These cookies can be turned off from the browser settings — the website still works.

6. Security

• The whole website runs on HTTPS — the information cannot be read on the way.
• A password is not stored as it is; it is stored in a converted (hashed) form, so your own password is not visible even to us. The one exception is the temporary password a College or Institute issues to a student: it stays readable to that institution, so it can be printed on the login slip, until the student signs in and sets their own password. After that, only the hashed form is kept.
• Even so, no one can give 100% security on the Internet. Please do not tell your password to anyone.

7. How long we keep it

• Information is kept for as long as the account is active.
• Payment records have to be kept for as long as the law requires them for accounts — they remain even if the account is closed.
• If a request is made to close the account, the remaining information is deleted.

8. Your rights

By writing to info@sharptestseries.in from your registered email address, you can ask for:

• Access to what information we hold about you
• Correction of information that is wrong
• Deletion of your account and information (subject to the limits in section 7 above)

We try to reply to such a request within 30 days.

9. Students who are minors

Most of our users are 11th and 12th standard students, and many of them are under 18 years of age. The Registration and payment for such a student should be made with the consent of a parent. If a parent asks for the information to be deleted, the request will be carried out.

No student's name, photograph, marks or result will be used in advertising, on social media or anywhere else without that student's written permission (and, if the student is a minor, the written permission of the parents).

10. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new text will be published on this same page, along with the date shown above.
